For Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about this course, go to RIDINGSAFETY
Prerequisite: You must be able to ride and balance a bicycle to attend this class. If you haven't ridden a bicycle in a while (like within the last year), it is suggested you ride one before you sign up to ensure you regain your two-wheel sense of balance. If you cannot balance a bicycle, don't expect to be able to balance and ride a motorcycle.
Release, Waiver & Indemification: If you sign up for this class you are participating in an inherently dangerous activity (don’t let anyone fool you, riding a motorcycle is dangerous business). The first night of class you must sign a RELEASE, WAIVER AND INDEMNIFICATION form and acknowledge you understand the TRAINING RULES. (To view these forms, please click on the CAPITALIZED TITLES in the previous sentence.) These forms are posted here to allow you to read and comprehend them before signing up for the class. You must sign them to receive this training.
Special Course Supplies: Two items: A brown-bag lunch (you’ll picnic, either in the classroom or on the riding range through lunch, so pack a lunch) and a helmet (borrowed one – we even have a couple loaners for those without any riding friends). Do not buy a helmet, or any other riding gear, until we’ve discussed in class what to look for when buying good riding gear. Who knows, we could even save you some money on quality gear!
After Registration Form: Filling out this form will ensure your Motorcycle Safety Foundation Completion Card is properly filled out and presented to you upon successful graduation on Sunday afternoon. Please go to RidingSafety. respond and fill out the pre-course survey as well as view course legal documents and other items in preparation for your first night of class.
